Our Personal Dogs
Foxi
Foxi is a 14 year old Belgian Malinois. She is the "OG" when it comes to working dogs. Jay got her at 6 months old and trained/worked her as a tracking dog.
Fun fact: Foxi has a titanium foam wedge in her leg from a crucial ligament tear when she was younger.
Nickname: Fox Box
Layla
Layla is an 8 year old Maltese/Pekingese mix. She is the only small dog in our pack, but don't tell her that. She is pretty positive that she's a Malinois as well.
Fun fact: Layla is often referred to as the Sport Dog Support Dog because she loves going on adventures to trials and training sessions.
Nickname: Doodle, Doodle Poodle, Bread Loaf
Baja
Baja is a 10 year old Dutch Shepherd. Originally, Baja was supposed to be a competition dog for Mondio Ring, but found his fit as a PPD (Personal Protection Dog) instead.
Fun fact: Baja is still learning new tricks (his most recent one is "sit pretty") and loves treats!
Nickname: Baja Boy
Obi
Obi is a 11 year old Belgian Malinois. He was trained as a dual purpose (detection and apprehension) patrol dog and worked the streets for a time. Prior to his law enforcement days he was also trained in Mondio Ring. Now, he is the king of the couch living the retired life.
Fun fact: Obi has his PSA level 1, Mondio Ring 1 and French Ring 1
Nickname: Obs, Obster
Arlo
Arlo is a 5 year old Belgian Malinois. Purchased as a puppy for Mondio Ring with Jay, Arlo chose Nikki instead. After a break from Mondio, he pursued PSA, but has decided that French Ring is his perfect fit.
Fun fact: Arlo gets so excited to work that he forgets how to use his legs and runs into everything.
Nickname: Buddy
Lucy
Lucy is an almost 2 year Belgian Malinois and the only working female in the pack. She comes from French lines and is working hard to get her PDC for PSA and then move on to French Ring.
Fun fact: Lucy can jump high enough to clear her kennel run.
Nickname: Lucy Goosey, Loose Goose
Dude
Dude is a 4 month old Border Collie. He is the newest member of the pack. His goal is to be a live find tracking dog for search and rescue. He's already off to a great start using his nose to find everything.... especially treats!
Fun fact: Dude loves a squeaky toy and is sneaky when he steals then from Foxi.
Nickname: Dudey
Maestro 😇
Maestro was a Belgian Malinois and one of he first members of the pack, second to Foxi. Unfortunately he crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago. During his life he was the "do everything" dog. He was trained as a demo dog, apprehension, explosive detection, collapsed structure, and professional hide & seek. He left big shoes to fill.
Fun fact: Maestro was the ring bearer in Jay and Nikki's wedding.
